COVID-19 IN RUSSIA: CHANGE IN QUARANTINE RULES FOR ARRIVALS FROM THE UK

Please be informed that the mandatory 14-day self-isolation of persons arriving from Great Britain and Northern Ireland has been cancelled by the Decree of the Chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation.

The change took force on 4 September 2021.


Which law introduces the changes?

The Decree of the Chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation No. 22 of 01.09.2021 “On annulling the Decree of the Chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation No. 43 of 21.12.2020 "On ensuring the isolation of persons arriving from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19".

Intermark comment

Please note that the compliance with the 14-day quarantine is still necessary for all foreign citizens entering the territory of the Russian Federation from any country with the labour purpose. This requirement is established by the Decree of the Chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation of March 30, 2020 N 9 "On additional measures to prevent the spread of COVID-2019."
