In accordance with the government decree of September 2, 2020 No. 2236-r, restrictions on entry into the Russian Federation through air checkpoints have been lifted for citizens and permanent residents of Egypt, Maldives and the UAE.
What are the changes?
The list of countries from which it is allowed to enter the Russian Federation through air checkpoints is supplemented by 3 states – Egypt, Maldives and the United Arab Emirates. Thus, currently the list consists of 7 countries: Great Britain, Turkey, Tanzania, Switzerland, Egypt, Maldives and the UAE.
We would like to remind you that the possibility of entry and the possibility of issuing invitations and visas applies to citizens of these countries or persons who have a document for the right of permanent residence in these countries, provided that they enter the Russian Federation by flight from the respective country.
NB! HQS workers, their family members and technical maintenance specialists from the above countries can enter the Russian Federation if they already hold a valid visa. However the possibility of obtaining new invitations and work permits for these categories in practice does not apply. To obtain these documents, it is still necessary to include foreigners specialists in the lists approved by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service of Russia.
