In accordance with Russian Government decree dated July 24, 2020 No. 1915-r, restrictions on entry into the Russian Federation through air checkpoints have been lifted for citizens of Great Britain, Turkey and Tanzania, as well as persons permanently residing in these countries.
What are the changes?
Russian Government has lifted restrictions on the entry into the Russian Federation for foreigners arriving from Tanzania, Great Britain and Turkey, as well as on the issuance of invitations and visas of all types to them.
The lifting of restrictions applies to citizens of Tanzania, Great Britain and Turkey, as well as to persons who have a permanent residence permit in these countries (or other similar document).
- Entry into Russia is allowed only via air checkpoints (airports)
- Visa can be obtained only through Russian consulates located in the territory of aforementioned countries
- The decree does NOT provide for lifting restrictions on work permit obtaining for foreign citizens who are currently abroad, including citizens of aforementioned countries
We would also like to note that, together with the ease of restrictions, Russian Government decided to resume regular flights with aforementioned countries from August 1, 2020.
Who is affected?
Citizens of Tanzania, Great Britain and Turkey, persons permanently residing in these countries and inviting parties.
