We would like to inform you that the Russian authorities have introduced the procedure of de-registering a foreign national in case the host party submits a notification of departure.
Which law introduces the changes?
What are the changes?
A host party is now entitled to carry out de-registration of a foreign national – by means of submitting at its will a notification of the foreign national’s departure from the place of stay where he or she has been registered.
According to the comments provided by the MIA of Russia “the departure from the place of stay” implies a foreign national’s absence in the place of stay and cease of any connection between him/her and the host party.
The host party can submit the notification of departure to the MIA in the following ways: in person, via a multifunctional centre or via a post office.
As of today, the form of notification and the rules of submitting it are not officially approved. Until the MIA of Russia enacts a relevant order, the notification can be submitted using a temporary form available at migration offices.
